Take the Parkway to dining and shopping destinations, recreational and entertainment activities, parks, and quaint mountain towns.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is its own destination. Drive North or South to almost anywhere. Pull-off to gaze at the incredible long-range mountain vistas. Wherever you’re going, the Blue Ridge Parkway will deliver you there!
West Jefferson …
Visit the quaint and charming town of West Jefferson. Throw down a beer at the breweries, savor the wineries and dine at the many fine restaurants. Visit the Florence Thomas Art School and other galleries. Take in the wide array of shops. Check out the fresh organic produce and hand-made crafts at the Ashe Co. Farmers Market and don’t forget to visit the Ashe Co. Cheese Shop & Factory.
Parks & Hiking …
If you’re a hiker, walk out the Farmhouse door to nearby creeks and waterfalls, hop on the Mountains-to-Sea-Trail (MST) and crisscross the Parkway to stunning mountain overlooks. The Farmhouse is surrounded by parks including Mount Jefferson State Park, New River State Park, Doughton Park, Stone Mountain State Park, Grayson Highlands State Park.
